Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Assessment of Private Sector Participation Potential for the Provision of Urban Bus Transport Services in Bobo-Dioulasso. The objective is to carry out an assessment that will help the Bank in its dialogue with the Client (GoBF), through (i) a review and sounding of the potential for private sector participation in the provision of urban bus transport services in Bobo-Dioulasso; (ii) Identification of potential suitable strategy and options for the most suitable business model for private operators to enter the bus services market, based on international experience, (iii) Economic and financial viability of private operator bus services (routes) and the assessment of the potential impact of such privatisation on municipal revenue (taxes) and on additional revenue for the State, (iv) Preparation of tendering documents (Cahier des charges) of two to three bus service routes to private bus operators. The proposed study, financed through a grant from the Public-Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility (PPIAF), would inform the Bank in the preparation and implementation of the new urban transport project The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals).
