  • The services provided for this contract include conservation training for 8 women's cooperatives in shea in Burkina Faso. The objective of this activity is on the one hand to identify one or more solutions allowing the reduction of the quantity of wood and water during the transformation of shea almonds, and on the other hand to train the members of the cooperatives in the implementation of this solution. The solutions developed should be inexpensive and easy to implement at the local level. They can for example include the use of biomass, alternative heating techniques, the use of pyrolysis, and others. Once the solution has been developed and validated by the global alliance of shea, the consultant will be responsible for training cooperatives in implementation. The specific content of the training will depend on the method chosen, but the expected training is a training of trainers, practice, and adapted to the specifics of communities.
