  • The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) intends to procure and implement an Upper Air Observing System at a selected synoptic station to bolster the observational capabilities of the Burkina Faso National Meteorological Agency. Specifically, the establishment of a new radiosonde station is scheduled for deployment at the synoptic station of Fada N'Gourma. This strategic endeavor is designed to enhance the precision of weather forecasts and facilitate the comprehensive monitoring of atmospheric conditions by facilitating data exchange with the global meteorological community and leveragingits application at the local level. The significance of this installation cannot be overstated, as it plays a pivotal role in providing essential support to diverse sectors including aviation, agriculture, disaster management, as well as climate and meteorological research.
